dfdann Posted April 20, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted April 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My 39mm IR filters just arrived after being ordered first of Feb. My question is, as my 35mm Chron is not coded and I am not yet ready to send it off, do I tell the camera that detection is enabled and the IR filter is on? Or do I just put the filter on and leave lens detection off? Thanks, Dan

ho_co Posted April 21, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 21, 2007 Good question, Dan! Â I'd say just put the filter on and leave lens detection off. That way you'll get the minimum automatic correction. Â But you should run a test and try it both that way and again with the setting for lens recognition on + filter usage. Â Best thing to do would be to shoot an evenly-illuminated white wall, and see if there's any difference in the way the camera handles the cyan drift in the corners with the two settings. Â And then you can let us know! Â --HC
