albert Posted April 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is the first living creature captured with my new Televid APO 77, Leica digital adapter 2, Lumix FX-07......I have a Leica D-Lux 3 arriving later this week.....Will my results be better ? Who cares. This is about all I need to be happy. I WAS SO LUCKY. I lugged the heavy Manfrotto out to my backyard.....set up all the components and focused on the top of a utility pole......instantly this dove landed dead center into the center of my focus.....I took fifteen photographs before she flew away......YOU NEVER FORGET THE FIRST ONE. stuny Posted April 20, 2007 Share #9 Posted April 20, 2007 Al - You mere child -- in Celsius you're only 15 1/2. In ways I like #1 best, since it sings, “I’m a birder using my spotting scope”, and the light, colors and details are lovely. The last, cropped and with more low sun on the dove is very nice. albert Posted April 20, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted April 20, 2007 Stuart, Once again you have given me valuable insight. I really like uncropped digiscope images. I like the circle framing and the vignetting. I guess I am a digiscoper. I hope the non-digiscopers will forgive me for posting images contained within a circular frame. The point you have helped me come to is: These are digiscopes put together with a LEICA TELEVID APO 77, Leica Digital Adapter 2, LUMIX FX-07, or LEICA D-LUX 3.....and should be enjoyed as such......Al
artaphoto Posted April 20, 2007 Share #11 Posted April 20, 2007 You will enjoy and appreciate the D LUX 3 it is a very good camera.

biglouis Posted April 21, 2007 Share #13 Posted April 21, 2007 Very nice pictures. I have often wondered about digiscoping as a D-LUX 2 owner. I prefer the last picture as the bird appears to have a beady eye on you! LouisB
albert Posted April 21, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted April 21, 2007 Hello Louis, It's sort of a hassle but fun (digiscoping), I'm just getting started. D-Lux 3 should arrive via mail today......here is one more where Ms. Dove caught me....Al
biglouis Posted April 22, 2007 Share #15 Posted April 22, 2007 Al I am right in saying there is no remote release for the D-LUX 3 or any leicasonic digicams, so what technique do you use to release the shutter? TIA LouisB
albert Posted April 27, 2007 Author Share #16 Posted April 27, 2007 LouisB, I did most of these by hand but also used the automatic timer....2 seconds or 10 seconds. Al
