3D-Kraft.com Posted June 8, 2014 Share #462 Posted June 8, 2014 This shows how nice the colours are from the A7 It shows, how out-of-cam JPEGs look like, when Vivid +2 +2 +3 is used. It is not my intention to criticize arty freedom but these images are not meaningful for strengths or weaknesses of the equipment used.

3D-Kraft.com Posted June 8, 2014 Share #464 Posted June 8, 2014 Hi, thank you for your funny comment. As you may know, this is an open thread. So, you may use your equipment and expertise to show pictures to the best of your abilities. Go ahead! Looking forward to your pictures ... What was funny about my comment? Didn't you realize how many readers in the sibling's SKF forum already commented your "interesting" color settings and stated that they falsify conclusions you and some others draw from these samples about the equipment used? Of course this thread is open and you can show your creations as long as they conform to the forum rules. But I did not see any rule that prohibts commenting on your pictures as well. Those who are interested in my pictures do know about the places where they can be found.
Guest polygamer Posted June 8, 2014 Share #465 Posted June 8, 2014 What was funny about my comment? Hi, I tried to take your comment light-heartedly, because you wrote: " It is not my intention to criticize arty freedom but these images are not meaningful for strengths or weaknesses of the equipment used." So, politely put, this is inconsistent. Some people might think this mildly schizophrenic. But we must not take things too seriously on a hot day in Germany. Cool down. Have a cold beer, or whatever agrees with your medication, recommends immodoc (from SKF).
Guest polygamer Posted June 9, 2014 Share #466 Posted June 9, 2014 Hi, another colourful picture from the market in Mainz on a sunny Saturday morning. (SONY A7, Leica Summicron 2/35 V4, open) As confessed above, I am lazy. I try to make my JPEG pictures with as little PP as possible, preferably ooc. So the benevolent viewer gets an idea how much or how little one can achieve with this approach... It is still very hot in Germany. Have a nice, cool holiday! Welcome, dear visitor! As moderation seems to be out of duty: My experience so far is that people who answer in such a manner on factual criticism seem to be running out of points and tend to project their own deficites to others. Guest polygamer Posted June 10, 2014 Share #469 Posted June 10, 2014 Hi, maybe we should try to include a picture in every posting. This would reduce the amount of verbal photography. So, walking the talk, a male blackbird (SONY A7, Leitz Telyt R 4,8/350, Crop). Have a nice week! Welcome, dear visitor! Jennifer Posted June 10, 2014 Share #470 Posted June 10, 2014 Hmmm, I wonder whether it's worth digging out my A7R, which I'm planning on selling, getting an E to M adaptor and trying out some of my new Leica glass?
Guest polygamer Posted June 10, 2014 Share #471 Posted June 10, 2014 Hmmm, I wonder whether it's worth digging out my A7R, which I'm planning on selling, getting an E to M adaptor and trying out some of my new Leica glass? I would do so, if I were you. It is worth a try. However, the A7R is even trickier than the A7 with M mount WA/UWA lenses. I have only the A7, so I cannot speak from personal experience. But from 35mm upwards I would not expect disappointments. The Tri-Elmar is also said to work fine with the A7R. Maybe, you buy a cheaper adaptor (quenox) to cut your losses if you are not satisfied ...

3D-Kraft.com Posted June 10, 2014 Share #474 Posted June 10, 2014 YAWN! Hello Klaus - surprised to see that you are still following this thread. Perhaps this may activate you again to show some of your work. As the forum rules are interpreted quite relaxed here anyway, this video might be an example that Leica lenses on A7R can also be used for motion pictures. The wide angle scenes were shot using the Leica WATE. (Click on the image to see the video page, where also the other M-mount lenses from Voigtlander and Zeiss used in the video are listed)

Guest polygamer Posted June 12, 2014 Share #476 Posted June 12, 2014 Hi, Zeche ZOLLVEREIN, brickwall photographer's paradise. SONY A7, Leica Summicron 2/35 V4. This is my favourite 35 (out of 4 35mm M mount lenses). By the way, out of curiosity, I recently bought a Voigtländer Nokton 1,4/40 classic. My first impressions are, it works nicely on the A7 not showing the typical SONY weaknesses with M mounts. Welcome, dear visitor! Guest polygamer Posted June 12, 2014 Share #477 Posted June 12, 2014 Hi, I can't tell. On the lens mount of my 1,4/40, there is no engraving like SC or MC. But I suppose, the SC version came first, so there is no info, and the later MC version is marked accordingly.
