That was my bike: BMW R75/5 with touring equipment, legshields, footshields, Craven carrier bags and topcase,

foglights front and rear, flash lights to clear the Autobahn, and a police horn ...

In 1974 I bought the R 90/6.

In 1972 there was ice and snow. On my bike, I had special tires for winter use, a trial tire in the rear, a slightly wider street tire in front, both with additional profiling.

Those were the days ...

@Thomas Chen

Hello Thomas

Have you experienced the shutter issue with the a7r...?

Kind regards from Switzerland

Sal

Hello, Mr. Sal,

I'm not so sure what is the real meaning of "shutter issue", however, I would like to share with you my own experience.

1. For the past half a year, I've no any problem with the function of shutter actuation no matter in shutt

er release button, self timer, or remote control.

2. For the shutter noise, it's quite obviuos but I don't care. Although I wish it sounds like Leica M6.

3. For the concern about shutter vibration. I always use a Gitzo aluminum tripod and actuate the shutter with remote control or 2 second self timer in serious photography. But I sometime take picture by hand-held approach, when I lean my left arm over my chest and hold the breathe as much as I can. In the link #223 of this thread I show a Dropbox link connecting some RAW files how I test A7R hand-held with Leica M 35/1.4 ASPH at variuos shutter speeds. If you are interested please examine those files to see the fact.

Best Regards,

Thomas Chen
