bonatto Posted December 21, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, I have an M3 that needs a CLA along with a 5cm 3.5 Elmar. Has anyone used Fotomechanik Reinhardt in the past, and if so, could you indicate a rough pricerange for a CLA of both as well as usual turnaround times? Alternatively, could you suggest other options for quality CLAs in Northern Europe? I'm located in Denmark. Thank you Fred Bonatto
Advertisement Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Hi bonatto, Take a look here Fotomechanik Reinhardt. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rickp13 Posted December 21, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2013 herr reinhardt has my m2 and xenon 50 right now, and has done great work on at least 6 other leica lenses for me over the past few years. he's good, therefore busy, so you'll have to contact him regarding possibility of repair and rough price range. geographically closer to you is kamera service in the netherlands. they just CLAd a 1st generation noctilux for me, and are currently working on a nikon ft2. in the past, they've done first class work on a 35 f1,2, two different 35 summilux pre-asph, a 21 super angulon and 40mm summicron, including 6-bit coding in some cases. also good, therefore also busy, so contact them to see what's possible for your camera. good holidays rick
bonatto Posted December 21, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 21, 2013 Thanks Rick, I'll have to ship out from Denmark and shipping is roughly similar to both locations. I have just sent an e-mail to Fotomechanik Reinhardt in english, hope they are able to reply. What have you received as estimate for your M2+50? Peter_S Posted December 21, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 21, 2013 He is topp - I used his service several times in the past. His does excellent work and his pricing is more than fair. Yes, busy, but his estimates of how long it may take were accurate. If you have problems contacting him in English (which may be the case), I am sure a member of the forum (or I) could arrange that. rickp13 Posted December 21, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2013 hello fred reinhardt's prices have been consistently fair and competitive, so i don't have a specific estimate for the camera or lens. i do know that he will contact me if he finds something unexpected (= above average expensive) to see how to proceed. if you prefer to have a rough estimate before proceeding with the repair, you'll have to ask for it by phone or email (kostenvoranschlag = estimate). regards rick Thanks Rick, I'll have to ship out from Denmark and shipping is roughly similar to both locations. bonatto Posted December 21, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted December 21, 2013 Thanks again for the advices I've just checked my maps, I'll be driving right past Hemmingen this weekend and on my way back after the holidays. Perhaps I could plan an overnight stay in Hannover and see if I can drop it off personally. Do these types of professionals traditionally stay away from their workbenches over the entire Christmas/New Year's period in Germany, or might it be likely that I can drop by on a weekday?
