Leonil Posted December 14, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2013 How does the M's cover glass compare to the plastic of the normal M9 and the Sapphire of the M9-P? Sapphire Crystal is more scratch resistant, its used a lot on watches. The Advantage of gorilla glass is that it wont shatter like glass or even something as strong as sapphire crystal. If hit hard enough, sapphire crystal will still shatter Gorilla glass also has similar anti scratch resistance as sapphire.
DMJ Posted December 14, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2013 It's tougher than plastic but still scratches. You'll kick yourself once it's scratched. Plenty of cheep screen covers around; got mine off Amazon for some £10 & once fitted looks the part & were it to scratch up then I would just replace it. I forget it's there. Always done the same with iPad's & phones. Well worth it.

I know about this, 2 of my watches have it, the 'house' of the watch is quite torn up in comparison to the 'glass'!! so was my M9-P! Ah well, once the M-P comes out, I'll just upgrade it! haha
farnz Posted December 14, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2013 I've had my iPhone 3GS with Gorilla Glass for a few now, it accompanies me everyday and has yet to be scratched (touch wood:o). Pete.
