mirekti Posted July 26, 2014 Share #121 Posted July 26, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) In my case it was really annoying the fact I couldn't get the colors right neither with the default profile nor with a custom one. Eventually, as someone already mentioned, I settled with the Adobe's standard profile (works best under different lights e.g. no sudden green cast in case the light changes). I somehow came to the corrections I feel most pleasant to my eyes, but it took me a while, and still not fully convinced. Once I correct one hue, the other goes off etc. Anyhow attached is a user preset that works the best for me at the moment. (If one wants to use it it's extension should be changed from *.txt to *.lrtemplate) One can see the biggest problem for LR profile are red, and magenta. My point is, Adobe should have done this much better. UserColorPresetAdobeStandard.txt

mirekti Posted July 26, 2014 Share #122 Posted July 26, 2014 I downloaded the trial Capture One Express two days ago (have used Lightroom for three years) and am by no means an expert on digital processing, but unless you have posted the wrong image from C1, your comparison is unfair. The filename confused me too now. I was certain I used linear in both cases. Tried to do it again, but the uploaded file is tiff now. Will try to recover the dng on one of my disks.
