Guest Gilgamesh Posted December 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've done a few web searches but nothing enlightening thus far. I am looking to see a side by side test of the two different cameras with the same Leica lenses and wondered if I had missed a decent test. Anyone got any links? JimKasson Posted December 5, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 5, 2013 I am looking to see a side by side test of the two different cameras with the same Leica lenses and wondered if I had missed a decent test. Received an A7r this afternoon, and will be testing soon. Shutter vibration, corner sharpness and color shifts with short lenses, DR, low light noise are all on my list. It'll take me a while to work through it all. A7R vs M240 with the same lenses may be worth testing, but what interests me more is A7R with Leica glass vs D800E with Nikon lenses. Guest Gilgamesh Posted December 5, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 5, 2013 I have the M240 and the D800e. That comparison has been and done, in my case with a Nikon 50mm f1.4G and the newest Leica 50mm f1.4 lens. They do different jobs for me and of course, handle quite differently. That test cost me over £10k.
