Meike MK-300 flash compatible with M9?

it looks like you're looking for a small flash. I've been looking for a while now too...

here are some conclusions i've drawn that you might find helpful.

Fuji EFX-20 - Great power and small. manual function only. You really need to know your exposure values and guidenumbers; and have enough time to set power accordingly.

Metz 20 C-2 - I'm currently looking for one. Small. Cheap. AA batteries. Automatic exposures for two different aperture values. ISO and aperture can be manipulated to simulate exposure equivalent.

Leica SF-24D - pricey. uses weird batteries that make it unfeasible for traveling, in my personal opinion. Has the most functionality out of all the flashes.

But see my thread here:- http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/308503-fishy-flash-conundrum.html

Everyone is looking for the small flash which you describe.

Of course the little Leica flash would be perfect - but of course, Leica have crippled it because as you point out, it has non-standard batteries - and I have even read somewhere that it won't run on rechargeables???

And of course it has no bounce facility - which shouldn't be any problem even on a small flash because Nikon have done it and so has Fuji, amongst others.

I understand that Leica will soon be announcing a special edition flash to celebrate some ancient anniversary or other. Something to do with a specially crafted saucer and some magnesium powder.
