Hi,

After several HOT discusions about coding, not coding, M8 lense selection menus etc. (sorry for my short temper  ) ...

I think that until we get some Leica / Zeiss / CV etc. solutions... we could use this thread to post info on profiles people are using for UNcoded or third part lenses EXCLUSIVELY (there is already a sticky post for C1 profiles and instructions).

Idealy posters could indicate:

- what the profile is supposed to do

- if it is with IR or without IR filter

- the lens it is thought for

- the software it works with (lightroom, aperture, CaptureOne).

- where to get the profil (link to download, webpage etc. and if it is a commercial or semi comercial solution, its price.

- any extra we need to know

I look forward to seing solutions for all of us :D and hope it becomes so useful that it appears as a sticky post.

Thank you for you colaboration,

Eric

I can tell you now: Summarit 50/1.5 uncoded with IR filter is excellent quality with all profiles. No coding needed for this lens. Summaron 3.5/35 has minor cyan corners with an IR filter and needs light postprocessing for that sometimes. Without filter it is very "hot" and responds well to the original M8 generic profile. It might benefit from DIY coding as Summicron 35. I use it as an IR lens with a 092 filter, at which it excels.
