Hello,

I have doubts about certain information of theinstructions of X Vario.

In particular on the memorizing of themeasurement of the exposure :

EXPOSURE METERING AND CONTROL (p. 42) :

It would seem that only balancedcentral measurement can be memorized.

This memorizing is not mentioned for the twoother types of measurement.

METERING MEMORY LOCK (p. 47) :

Here it is mentioned that spot measurement and 1 field can be memorized, but not balanced central measurement.

How to understand that ?

Can't measurement with multiple fields thus bememorized before realignment ?

All that seems to me a little confused !

If somebody can explain me…

Thank you for your precise details.

Hello Guy, I have been looking on page 42 of the French and German manual. If I understand correctly there are 3 modes for light measuring. You have to choose one of them in the menu.

Concerning page 47, the German manual seems to be more clear than the French. Also if I understand correctly, you have with the selected light measurement to point to the subject and press the shutter button half, and then compose the picture keeping the shutter button half pressed down, just like it this had to be done with the analog compact Leica cameras.

Just my two cents.

I will take a look at the Dutch manual, perhaps It would help me to better understand the problem.

Best

Yes, I know that very well !

But these two pages are contradictory : the memorizing of the exposure is done with the central measurement balanced on page 42 and with spot measurement on page 47.

And not a word on the memorizing of the exposure with measurement to multiple fields.
