Advertisement Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Hi leica1215, Take a look here any issue after October delivery. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
StephenPatterson Posted November 13, 2013 Share #2 Posted November 13, 2013 Are you asking if all M240s delivered after October have zero issues? Well, there are still known issues regarding occasional lockups with the EVF, which Leica is working on and expect to correct with a future firmware release. There have also been a couple of reports of strap lug failure after the Apr. 5 recall, which is concerning. However there are many thousands of users (I am one of them) who are happily shooting every day with their M240s and not experiencing any significant problems. I don't use the EVF often (about 5% of the time) and my camera, using SanDisk Extreme Pro 95mbps cards, has been performing flawlessly. Hope this helps. chocy0924 Posted November 13, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 13, 2013 I got mine Nov 1st and I had no issues so far. Granted I had not used my strap because I am still waiting for my Art di Mano half case to arrive...
Keith (M) Posted November 13, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 13, 2013 Very early days yet (it arrived yesterday). So far all seems to work as advertised and as expected. In three years of M9 use, my one niggle was the amount of dust-bunnies evident from early-on (probably splatter from the shutter lubricant). The M is, so far, better as a quick test with the in-built dust detection facility shows up just three dots. Long may it stay that way! Peter H Posted November 13, 2013 Share #5 Posted November 13, 2013 Keith, contrary to popular experience as related here, there are some Ms out there (mine at least) which haven't suffered any problems at all. After around 10,000 actuations (what a horrible word!) not only has nothing gone wrong, seized up, fallen off or otherwise disappointed, but I've only once had to puff at the sensor to remove a dust spot which flew away like the dream everything else to do with the camera has been. Except the dream is reality. And hasn't flown away. But you know what I mean. I wish you a similar experience.

Same here Got mine in May, fired approx. 6,500 frames, using EVF occasionally ... and no let-downs, hiccups, failures, glitches, flaws, or issues whatsoever. I only wish it would wake up quicker after falling into auto power-off mode.
Guest borge Posted November 13, 2013 Share #7 Posted November 13, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I keep reading about the EVF lockups everywhere. I have not experienced it once on my M240 which I picked up in mid october. The first thing I did was upgrade the firmware, use SDFormatter to format a brand new SanDisk Extreme 64GB card, and use a new Olympus VF-2. No lockups, no issues, no nothing. And I've been using it a lot.

It might be the lens also, not the body, for all I know since I only have this one lens to test with. That's why I'm sending both back. The front and back focusing is only noticeable at f/0.95. At f1.4 and f2 even the EVF and focus peaking doesn't notice it.

dennersten Posted November 13, 2013 Share #11 Posted November 13, 2013 5 weeks old, a lot of shooting but no problems at all. I also use my EVF a lot but no problems with that either.
algrove Posted November 13, 2013 Share #12 Posted November 13, 2013 So far my camera #4 is working fine, but very little use. All use with R lenses, but the real test comes when I use it all day long in rough terrain and perhaps hot terrain.
