I have CS suite premium and was able to get the creative suite premium upgrade for $600 that's about $100 a program for photoshop extended, illustrator, flash, dreamweaver, acrobat and indesign. Â FYI the price for Photoshop CS3 alone is $649 not $1200. Adobe offers upgrades, cross grades from one platform to another and upgrades from Elements to photoshop. Adobe is a great business model, their public beta program is revolutionary! Â I've been using PS3 beta since it came out ACR is great! Just like in lightroom only it looks a little different. Highlight recovery, fill light and HSL sliders are the best! CS3 ROCKS! Â I agree with shootist I don't see why people freak out over a few hundred dollars for software that you use all the time vs. not blinking an eye about a lens for several thousand dollars. I'd rather spend the money on lenses, unless I absolutely need layers, masking, better sharpening or anything else that isn't available for a lot less money in Lightroom. kobold Posted April 24, 2007 Share #27  Posted April 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) As well, Wilfredo, may I suggest that you always download files from the card before opening/editing them—doing this on the card, the way you described, is a recipe for disaster, IMHO. Copy to HD, make DVD or CD of these Raw files, then open.  My guess as to why CS2 was not able to open those files is because the right ACR plug in (that regcognises the 5D) was not installed in the right place. hth, cheers, kl Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
