robsteve Posted April 17, 2007 Share #21 Posted April 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sol: Has anybody checked to see if these calibrations are cross platform compatible? I just tried them on my windows machine and the results are almost to the point of being posterized. I had this same result with clibrations posted in the past. Advertisement Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Hi robsteve, Take a look here M8 Lightroom Presets. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest sirvine Posted April 17, 2007 Share #22 Posted April 17, 2007 I don't know. That would be silly, wouldn't it? I asked here: Adobe Forums - Are Lightroom Presets Cross-Platform?
charlesphoto99 Posted April 18, 2007 Share #23 Posted April 18, 2007 Color wise they seem to be a good starting point - thank you. I prefer my images punchy with lots of zing so will have to figure out a good tonal curve preset to put on top.
robsteve Posted April 18, 2007 Share #24 Posted April 18, 2007 I don't know. That would be silly, wouldn't it? I asked here: Adobe Forums - Are Lightroom Presets Cross-Platform? If they are cross platform compatible, there must be another cause for the huge difference when I use them on my files. Robert
rwfreund Posted April 18, 2007 Share #25 Posted April 18, 2007 Looking at the structure of the file, I would be very surprised if they were not cross-platform compatible. As you can see below, the file consists mainly of keyword-value pairs. -bob s = { internalName = "Leica M8 +AutoWB noSharp noNR +Calibrated", title = "Leica M8 +AutoWB noSharp noNR +Calibrated", type = "Develop", value = { settings = { AutoBrightness = false, AutoContrast = false, AutoExposure = false, AutoShadows = false, BlueHue = -36, BlueSaturation = 0, Brightness = 0, CameraProfile = "ACR 3.6", ChromaticAberrationB = 0, ChromaticAberrationR = 0, ColorNoiseReduction = 0, Contrast = 0, ConvertToGrayscale = false, EnableCalibration = true, EnableColorAdjustments = true, EnableDetail = true, EnableGrayscaleMix = true, EnableLensCorrections = true, EnableSplitToning = true, Exposure = 0.43, FillLight = 0, GreenHue = 30, GreenSaturation = 17, HighlightRecovery = 0, HueAdjustmentAqua = 0, HueAdjustmentBlue = 0, HueAdjustmentGreen = 0, HueAdjustmentMagenta = 0, HueAdjustmentOrange = 0, HueAdjustmentPurple = 0, HueAdjustmentRed = 0, HueAdjustmentYellow = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentAqua = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentBlue = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentGreen = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentMagenta = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentOrange = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentPurple = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentRed = 0, LuminanceAdjustmentYellow = 0, LuminanceSmoothing = 0, ParametricDarks = 0, ParametricHighlightSplit = 75, ParametricHighlights = 0, ParametricLights = 0, ParametricMidtoneSplit = 50, ParametricShadowSplit = 25, ParametricShadows = 0, RedHue = 19, RedSaturation = 19, Saturation = -9, SaturationAdjustmentAqua = 0, SaturationAdjustmentBlue = 0, SaturationAdjustmentGreen = 0, SaturationAdjustmentMagenta = 0, SaturationAdjustmentOrange = 0, SaturationAdjustmentPurple = 0, SaturationAdjustmentRed = 0, SaturationAdjustmentYellow = 0, ShadowTint = 0, Shadows = 5, Sharpness = 0, SplitToningBalance = 0, SplitToningHighlightHue = 0, SplitToningHighlightSaturation = 0, SplitToningShadowHue = 0, SplitToningShadowSaturation = 0, ToneCurve = { 0, 0, 32, 22, 64, 56, 128, 128, 192, 196, 255, 255, }, Vibrance = 0, VignetteAmount = 0, VignetteMidpoint = 50, WhiteBalance = "Auto", }, uuid = "273EC5DF-EC36-11DB-B65C-0014516726C6", }, version = 0, }
deoman Posted April 18, 2007 Share #26 Posted April 18, 2007 One problem in downloading the presets in Windows applications is after you download them into the correct folder, you have to log out of Lightroom and re-start for the program to "see" the new presets. Guest sirvine Posted April 18, 2007 Share #27 Posted April 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Robert, I'm stumped, really. Maybe the presets just suck! Haha, you never know. I did mention that my monitor isn't calibrated, so...anything could happen. It's an Apple 30" LCD, though, and those are pretty good out of the box, AFAIK. If you have a moment, you might post your neutral settings as a preset and I'll run them through my version of Lightroom. Sol
