Has anybody checked to see if these calibrations are cross platform compatible? I just tried them on my windows machine and the results are almost to the point of being posterized. I had this same result with clibrations posted in the past.

Color wise they seem to be a good starting point - thank you. I prefer my images punchy with lots of zing so will have to figure out a good tonal curve preset to put on top.

If they are cross platform compatible, there must be another cause for the huge difference when I use them on my files.

Looking at the structure of the file, I would be very surprised if they were not cross-platform compatible.

As you can see below, the file consists mainly of keyword-value pairs.

One problem in downloading the presets in Windows applications is after you download them into the correct folder, you have to log out of Lightroom and re-start for the program to "see" the new presets.

I'm stumped, really. Maybe the presets just suck! Haha, you never know. I did mention that my monitor isn't calibrated, so...anything could happen. It's an Apple 30" LCD, though, and those are pretty good out of the box, AFAIK.

 

If you have a moment, you might post your neutral settings as a preset and I'll run them through my version of Lightroom.
