wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I purchased the Leica MM but never got a product key from Leica to activate Silver Efex Pro 2 after I was able to download it. I tried contacting Leica Customer Support via e-mail and although they have my proper e-mail address on file, my e-mail to them won't go through. I get a message from Leica insisting I use an old e-mail address I no longer use. Any suggestions? How do I get this product key if I am not able to contact Leica? Thanks! wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted November 4, 2013 There is no phone number on the contact support page. Life would be easier if they included the software with the product they sell, as in the recent good old days! Another question: I do my PP with PSCS4. Can I use Silver Efex Pro 2 with PSCS4? wattsy Posted November 4, 2013 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2013 Another question: I do my PP with PSCS4. Can I use Silver Efex Pro 2 with PSCS4? Apparently so. System requirements are here.

wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted November 4, 2013 Andy, Thank you. I've given them a call and left a message. I'm wondering if other MM purchasers received a product key from Leica for Silver Efex Pro 2? If not, how did you get the Silver Efex Pro 2 to work? wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted November 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I heard back from Leica in N.J. Unfortunately they just referred me back to the Leica customer support website, so I am back to square 1. I hope they (the website contact e-mail address) responds to the e-mail I sent them. andybarton Posted November 4, 2013 Share #8 Posted November 4, 2013 I assume that you have registered your camera on the website and accessed the downloads section for your software? From memory, they send you an email with details once you have entered your TAN number.
wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted November 4, 2013 Thanks again Andy. I fished through my old e-mails and found it. They did indeed send it to me but it doesn't work. I just called Nik Software and they are sending me a new product key number. Fingers crossed! Perhaps I waited too long to finally get around to registering the new software and the product key number expired?
Jeff S Posted November 4, 2013 Share #10 Posted November 4, 2013 There is no phone number on the contact support page. You live in NY, and have owned Leica for years, and you've never dealt with Leica NJ service or googled their phone #? I would have been happy to provide a link as did Andy, but the thought never occurred to me given the circumstance and the simple access. Edit....I see you called them to no avail. Try talking to Shirley DeSilva...she can be resourceful. Jeff
wilfredo Posted November 4, 2013 Author Share #11 Posted November 4, 2013 The good news is that I was able to get through to NIK via the telephone and they sent me the Silver Efex Pro 2 software via the internet and they included other great software programs free! In the end it worked out better than hoped for. The NIK collection included Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro 4, Dfine 2, Sharpener Pro 3 (RAW Pre-Sharpener) Sharpener Pro 3 (Output Sharpener) and Vivenza 2. Just for the record, my only contact with Leica in N.J. over the years has been due to repair issues. Never anything like this. They were courteous but could only refer me back to Leica in Germany. As far as I'm concerned this ended with a better than expected positive outcome.
