Advertisement Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Hi MarkP, Take a look here Down and Dirty on the Streets of Kings Cross/Darlinghurst #3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Karl G Posted October 27, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 27, 2013 Wow!, that is a pretty graphic looking photo, and very gripping.
pauledell Posted October 27, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 27, 2013 Lots of impact with the stark appearance of the location. Not always do I care for the treatment of a bit of color in a b&w shot but it works well here. Paul
platypus Posted October 27, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 27, 2013 How interesting that you are documenting the Cross and that you have chosen to shoot the cityscape sans people. The Cross has by far the most character of all Sydney's suburbs, it will be interesting to see where you go with it. This Tunnel Club image is very strong and photojournalistic, most impressive! Thanks Dee. I know this area very well as I live in the Eastern Suburbs and work at St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst (next suburb). I'm certainly more comfortable pointing the camera down rather than at some of the more 'colourful' locals.

Paul Thanks for your kind comment Paul, but it was actually a desaturated (except for red) and subsequently manipulated colour photograph.
