ModernMan Posted October 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) With the bottom cover removed, turn the power on while holding the INFO button. Camera becomes operational after first displaying low battery, then pausing for a few additional seconds. Not sure if this is unintended (bug) or intended ("easter egg") behavior. algrove Posted October 18, 2013 Share #3 Posted October 18, 2013 Must be a diagnostics thing. Why operate camera where elements can get into that area, especially the SD card slot and pins for 2016 when we get to use an MF grip on it.
erudolph Posted October 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 18, 2013 When I tried this, holding in INFO while powering on with bottom cover removed, the camera looked for a FW update. The error message that no update was found on the SD card stayed on even when I powered the camera off and went away only when I pulled the battery.
