If I shoot a jpeg file I find that the associated metadata date is wrong.

Camera

File Size 1.85 Mb

Creation Date 1 Jan 1904 01:00:00

Image Dimensions 3936*2624 pixels

Exposure

Empty

File

Empty

I have firmware 1.102 and I have set the date correctly!

I also find it a curious way of using the metadata in a jpeg file - but my old Canon did it this way (but got the date right) - so I guess this is the standard, I will refrain from comment!

Futher investigation suggests that the problem may be with C1Pro (version 3.7.6 on my Mac) - the above date is shown when C1Pro reads the metadata in a jpeg file created by the M8 (and also by a D60). Photoshop shows the correct date.

Please accept my apologies.

Try to read the EXIF data with different programs. I never had a problem to get the richt data.
