kaide Posted September 29, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 29, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, I was pointed here by some helpful people and I hope this is the proper place to post this information. The camera is an M2 in chrome and black with the serial number 945194. I've attached a photo of it(though I suppose it looks like most any other m2) that shows the damage to the vulcanite on the front under the lens mount. It's not in the greatest shape but it worked and my fiance used it often. It was stolen along with two other lenses that I've not been able to find serial number information for yet. I believe it had a Leica 35mm mounted on it(the one attached in photo 2) and a 135mm with it(which I unfortunately don't have a photo of). This camera belonged to my grandfather, who bought it when my dad was little and then passed it to my fiance just before he died. I know the chances of seeing it return are slim to none but it never hurts to try. Thank you in advance. Edit to add the obvious: If on the rare chance you do see it please contact me at mmcwr87<at>gmail.com Thanks.

earleygallery Posted September 29, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 29, 2013 The Lens on the camera in the colour pic is a 5cm Summarit LTM with M adaptor. Have you sent the details to Leica too? They have seized stolen equipment which finds it's way back to them for repair, although an M2 can be repaired by most camera techs. The only other thing you can do is keep an eye on eBay.....
