Rick Posted March 5, 2014 Share #81 Posted March 5, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can hear it on mine and after years of driving unsilenced racing cars and rifle shooting, I am quite deaf. I can only assume Leica did not want to hear it or used an old Ultra SD card, where we know the beeping does not occur. Wilson We don't know that it does not occur with the Ultra cards. It occurs with my Ultra cards, but interestingly it is less noticeable. Also, playing around with it I find it has no real frequency all the time, sometimes with some cards it is a more random beeping. Just to be crystal clear; I have not one bit of interest loading the waveform into any kind of software and analyzing it or posting the file from such a program. My interest is to have Leica solve the problem. As it stands now it clearly falls into the catagory of more BS from Leica. Lastly, I fully understand that it is becoming highly unlikely that we will see no more updates on the M240. Based on past experience Leica is done with the camera and has moved on to the next M, T or what every it is that is consuming their very taxed resources. The show is over, move along. Rick, I hope you are wrong about FW updates. If Leica don’t sort out some of the basic FW errors like the mis-communication with the SF-58D and AWB, I can see them being subject to a class action suit from some of the more litigious owners. The FW beta testers have had an update to 2.0.0.12 on test for ages now, so I don’t know what is holding it up. Wilson
Rick Posted March 5, 2014 Share #83 Posted March 5, 2014 Yes, but why is it taking so long to put it out. I haven't seen anything about a new beta beyond 2.0.0.12. I'll send Leon an email and ask if there is a new beta out.
