Dust on Sensor

Recommended Posts

Hi,

If I have uploaded the image correctly, you will see a mark/ dust / hair at the left top hand side of the image.

I have obviously cleaned the lens so this must mean it is on the sensor?

Any solution to this?

Is it covered by warranty?

Thanks

Yes, dust or rather a small hair has worked its way inside to your sensor. If the camera is under warranty then Leica should clean it off for free.

I had a few dust specks on my Clux sensor, I opened the camera up and cleaned it myself, and also put some tape over the component joints - amazing how dusty the inside of the camera was!

Depending on your method of cleaning and what sensor cleaning products you used, it could be a fibre from a swab such as Visible Dust.

Clean it again or use something like a Rocket air blower (not compressed gas!) with the camera body facing downwards to move it off the sensor.

Its a fixed lens camera.
