Manolo Laguillo Posted September 12, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw today in an Hi-Fi shop this Zerostat 3 antistatic gun. Seems to work well with vinyl CD's, DVD's or any surface. I was wondering if it would be a solution for the dust on the sensor. Any experience with this device applied to our problem out there? Regards, Manolo
Advertisement Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hi Manolo Laguillo, Take a look here Zerostat 3 antistatic gun: would it be effective?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 12, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2013 I don't think it is a good idea to fire a static charge into an electronic device to put it mildly.
tobey bilek Posted September 15, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2013 I would only try if there is warrantee. So you know my opinion. Technically it would only hit the cover glass, but the chance is not worth it considering the are effective ways to get clean.
