doolittle Posted September 9, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have two Leica branded batteries for my M8. One is the original that came with the camera, and one a spare I bought from the local dealer. One has the details embossed on the battery, the other has the details printed on the battery. Trouble is I have forgotten which is the original and which is the spare. Was the embossed style battery manufactured first or was it the printed style battery? Thanks! tobey bilek Posted September 10, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2013 Normally the cost reduced version always comes second. I mark batteries as I acquire them, usually with very small print and then clear tape over that. Pre computer days, I just kept reducing on a copy machine until I got it small enough. I think you solved my question. I also asked a question as got a new battery from dealer today that was not embossed but had russian text. I posted pics as I thought I got a copy of some strange stock. So I guess its now standard that new batteries have printed labels. I liked the embossed though.
