Dannybuoy Posted September 9, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I seem to have another little bug with my M. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same. During focussing with LV on and zoomed in, pressing the shutter release doesn't actuate the shutter. To clear this bug I have to move the focus ring to unlock this bug. I've missed a few shots due to this. Maybe I do need to send it back to the big L. Also sometimes after taking a photo the EVF goes black although the photo is there during playback, but that's another story.

Others have had the same issue. Linked to fresh Li-batteries, wait until they have been recharged 3-4 times.
Peter H Posted September 9, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 9, 2013 I've never had this problem and can't replicate it.
algrove Posted September 9, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2013 Just a thought. You have not inadvertently switch the shutter to time lapse by mistake when this has happened?
Dannybuoy Posted September 10, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted September 10, 2013 It's definitely a bug as once I refocus it works again and I've not changed any settings. It's really strange. Maybe just another thing I'll have to live with when using Leica. Lucky that I'm sorta in love with the files my M kicks out :-)

hoppyman Posted September 11, 2013 Share #8 Posted September 11, 2013 If I understand what the OP is describing, I cannot replicate this here either. I have 3 batteries, none of which have been through more than one charge cycle. I tried in LV with 10x activated. Pushing shutter release causes momentary delay as normal for LV and the non-magnified view flashes up very briefly too. Shutter release functions normally.
