Hi!

So after shooting a couple of weeks with my second M8 (i guess Leica is producing 2 M8 for each order ;-)) i always used C1 for developing. Since my demo version of C1pro is running out, i have to think about software.

First C1:

After getting used to the big preview files that C1 is producing i get really used to C1 it produces the best image quality i have ever seen from a digital camera.

I have to say i am a lithographer and i was (re)producing images before scanners and before apple and photoshop took over. I was using really big scanners and also started photoshop with version 2.

Other good things are: Does not taking over your organisation of files with librarys as LR does. Stores the setting of each image in extra file, not in a library. The sharping tool is verry good.

But still not enough:

C1 needs tools for lens vignetting correction, clone and healing.

Lightroom: It's, for me, just too much of everything. It is too sharp, the interface is too messy but it has a vignetting tool and also a clone tool.

My question to the LR users: Is there a way to use profiles in LR? For C1 i use the M8 without IR filters but with the Jamie profiles. Is ther a way for LR?

My question to the C1 users: Is the activation code for mac an windows the same? Because they are offering that the pro version is for 2 computers.

Thanx!

Mario

Mario you can use it for either platform. In a couple months Version 4 will be out and it should have all those tools you mentioned and than some and should be a free upgrade
