sanyasi Posted September 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) http://news.cnet.com/8301-1001_3-57601348-92/adobe-to-offer-lightroom-photoshop-for-$10-a-month/ If I am reading this correctly, the cost of CC Photoshop with LR is now $10 a month. Of course, they can raise the price, but this is an indication that Adobe listens and that those who were unhappy had market power. Advertisement Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Hi sanyasi, Take a look here Adobe Drops CC Subscription Price. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted September 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2013 That the permanant price, not an introductory offer, though Adobe have said that if a user quits the programme and then rejoins it'll cost more that $10. To be honest, for both LR and PS my first reaction is that it's reasonable - there are still longer term issues of course.
250swb Posted September 6, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 6, 2013 As a permanent price (per month) if you buy before January it looks very tempting, and goes some way to alleviating the initial head scratching and then outrage. I wonder what the UK price will be, because $9.99 usual means £9.99 which isn't such a bargain. Adobe's mass-alienation of photographers has clearly hit their corporate pocket, but the devil will still be in the detail when the $10 version goes on sale and the small print is scrutinised. k-hawinkler Posted September 6, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 6, 2013 I am sticking with LR5 and CS6 for the time being. Luckily there are other options, non-Adobe, for post-processing. Any Adobe subscriptions are now suspect to me without having digested the fineprint first. I am looking forward to the tagging function in the finder of the upcoming Mavericks Mac OS X upgrade. That should help keeping track of images. I don't mind paying a fair price for Adobe's licensed software. But I sure don't need their corporate antics. Jan W. Tromp Posted September 6, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2013 I'm going to leave Adobe. I don't want a subsription! It seems many users think the same Adobe now is lowering the price. There is a lot of other pro software available like Apple's Aperture but also Perfect Photo Suite, Capture One etc. The free software is usually more for window users. Mac users (like me) only want to use the software and not have to program it:-)
DigitalHeMan Posted September 6, 2013 Share #6 Posted September 6, 2013 I read the announcement with interest, but I believe it is only for existing Photoshop CS3 and above users. I would be glad to be wrong...
