Looking for a good hybrid shoulder/wrist strap solution

As the title says, I'm in search of a good working strap solution. Ideally, I'd like to be able to quickly switch between a shoulder strap and a wrist strap. There are many times when I need a shoulder strap (helps quite a bit when changing film) but at the same time I really like ditching it and using the wrist strap. For years I've used the standard Leica strap (or Luigi strap) and looped it around my wrist a few times. I've never gotten used to it though, since about half of the strap ends up dangling and swinging around.

I'm looking at Leica Goodies, I see that they have the Sling and Hook. The Sling looks like it's set up so the strap ring is still accessible. So I'm wondering if I could buy 2 Hooks and 1 Sling - the sling on my grip side and a Hook on each strap ring. Then I could connect/disconnect the shoulder strap whenever I want and still have the convenience of a wrist strap.

What kind of solution is everyone else using?

On yeah, I'm also using an Abrahamson rapidgrip on the body (an M7) - has anyone used a Sling + Rapidgrip and can provide feedback on the combo?

The Leica wrist strap I have, I don't remember what it came with, but it's the brown leather strap about 7 inches long, 1/2 inch wide, with the black fabric thread that connects to the camera. It never slips from my wrist, no matter what I do, and I have to use the other hand to get it off even though it's totally loose!! A genius design. I have used it on the M Monochrom with a heavy lens, and while the strap is secure, my wrist really feels the weight of that camera and lens.

EDIT: I have the neck strap attached first, then the wrist strap on one side on the same ring used by the neck strap.

I often use an Artisan&Artist wrist strap. It works well if you don't mind holding your camera in your hand all the while you are shooting. Otherwise I just use the Leica shoulder strap.

After trying a few different straps I've finally settled on a pretty good solution. It's called a Lance strap, I chose the 60" model. It's a braided strap, long enough to wear diagonally across my shoulder. The strap is also limber enough to wrap around my wrist tightly and not be too annoying. The nearest equivalent is the A&A silk strap - but it's much more expensive and I didn't test it. Seems like it would be the same.

For heavier combinations I use a SunSniper "The One" shoulder strap, which has a very effective rubber shock-absorber/load distributer, and for a wrist strap I use a black Annie Barton "Linky" wrist strap made from individual softened leather links that's very comfortable.

Removing the SunSniper simply requires unscrewing the screw from the tripod mount but removing the Linky would need the split ring to be removed which is awkward because it's very closely surrounded by leather. You could use a Leicagoodies Hook with a second split ring but I suspect that the camera would be too far from the hand during normal use. Or you could simply leave the Linky connected while using the SunSniper.
