Dr Owl Posted September 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Over the last month or two, I have showed many of Rabbit's friends and relations (and mine too) my new Leica kit. I typically hand them the new Fogg Lyre bag containing the M6, the 50mm Summilux, and the 90mm Elmarit. Many folk (not all of course) have lived up to gender stereotyping. Men tend to take the camera out, weigh it in their hands and comment on how heavy it is for something so small. Women tend to take the camera out, put it to one side, pick up the bag, and say, "Now, THAT would be a really good handbag." Owl

enboe Posted September 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 2, 2013 Same scenario, here in the U.S. guys seem to care less, girls say, "ooh, shiny camera, very retro, oh and nice bag." Maybe we're a little more fickle over here. By the way, they definitely like the Fogg better than a Billingham or Barbour, let alone a Domke. I had to have part of a Luigi's M8 battery holder re-glued by the local cobbler. It took an extra five minutes while the guy examined and complemented the leather and workmanship. Have fun. semi-ambivalent Posted September 2, 2013 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2013 By the way, they definitely like the Fogg better than a Billingham or Barbour, let alone a Domke. Certainly, you're not making buying decisions based on the au courant opinions of fashion dandies, are you?
