Telfs Posted August 20, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I traded my wife's black M9 (yes, with permission!) for a silver M last week. I kept my chrome M9-P on the basis that they are less common and hopefully more valuable over time. Put my name on a waitlist when my dealer (Tamarkin camera in Chicago) let me play with their showroom black M - that was a few months ago. So I have still have both to compare easily. My first impressions are: M is surprisingly bigger and heavier. With a chrome 50 'lux, it's a lump. M shutter is a massive improvment in feel and noise M rangefinder is noticably better. I could not get better focus using LV in my brief tests M screen - amazing! M battery life - wow! But not compatible with my M9 batteries. My home is full of chargers of various kinds! Haven't even tried movies. I may never do so. Still working on LR workflow with image files, but they look really good All that said, I still love the M9-P too!
