Leica X-Vario 46mm (70mm FF equiv) ISO 400 1/500 f6.4 - with circular polariser. Taken from the Swarovski ObservationTower 18 August 16.51 hrs at the UK 'Birdfair 2013'. Swarovski provided at least six 'scopes on their 20ft high observation tower platform for visitors' use so they 'whooped' Leica as regards viewing facilities . Leica's 'scopes were all at ground level. The X-Vario's images continue to please. The only gripe I have is that when using a regular polarising filter with the dedicated lens hood, the image is vignetted at the widest focal length. In future will have to remove the hood - or find a very slim polariser. Polariser used today was a budget price Jessops brand.
