stuny Posted August 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 2, 2013 A beautiful shot. I'd name him Harold, but I don't think that's what you're asking for. I also wonder if the image would be stronger still with 3 or 4 centimeters cropped from the right.
pauledell Posted August 2, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 2, 2013 A great shot with the composition, subtle colors and sharpness. Call him "Dagwood" from the comic strip. I love Dagwood sandwiches. Paul
Karl G Posted August 2, 2013 Share #4 Posted August 2, 2013 Very attractive capture of the bird with his beak full of food. Being in the crow family, they are very cheeky, and highly intelligent. Their common name is a collared crow. A house crow was recently found to have H5N1 or avian flu which can be nasty.
platypus Posted August 4, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 4, 2013 This is obviously a crow with a beak full of potato chips, how typical! As it is winter here I have been bullied and nagged into feeding ten or so crows, twice a daily, with a yummy mixture of mince meat and (soaked) dog biscuits. My crows are shiny blue black from head to toe and have ghastly pale blue eyes. They are very bold birds.
