Advertisement Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Hi dant, Take a look here Anyone try the 12mm Voigt?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
FlashGordonPhotography Posted July 31, 2013 Share #2  Posted July 31, 2013 I have the M version coded as a 21mm 2.8 pre asph. It still has some red edge on the M9 but not a lot. Distortion is surprisingly low for a lens this wide. Nice and sharp at f8 and a lot of fun to use. Samples with no cornerfix applied.  L1006916.jpg by Flash Gordon Photography, on Flickr  L1006864.jpg by Flash Gordon Photography, on Flickr  L1006741.jpg by Flash Gordon Photography, on Flickr  L1007151.jpg by Flash Gordon Photography, on Flickr  Gordon

dant Posted July 31, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted July 31, 2013 Thanks! Â I read the edges are not that sharp, but your pix look fine. Â Is there any color shifting that needs to be correcetd from it being so wide?
honcho Posted July 31, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted July 31, 2013 'Sharpness' is an often overrated term but it has good contrast with marked wide angle vignetting that I like. Â As an extreme wide angle lens, you might be advised to try one first. With graphical subject elements and strong composition it's capable of dramatic perspectives. I use it only with black and white film, although I did use it with an Epson RD1-s a number of years ago. The 1.5 crop just doesn't do it for me, it needs to be used in the way it is intended to be used for best impact. Â It's a lens that will encourage you to plan images in advance and consider what subjects will work best with it.

I love wide angles, I like some vignetting. Wides are my normal most of the time. Will see about buying one.  I wrote to Samyang to see if they will make a fisheye in the M mount, but no reply. Looks like the V12mm is about it then for super wides.
