satureyes Posted July 29, 2013 Share #61 Posted July 29, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Paul. Leica isn't for everyone. Perhaps Frogfish should sell his M240 and embrace Canikon. Frogfish clearly didn't like my wedding portfolio but the bride and groom were absolutely thrilled. Erik Mazeltov! Some people are never happy. Lovely shots and sounds like you rescued the day. As long as the couple is happy then it's a job well done. People here think that every job has to be shot with the intention of winning a Pulitzer. Where was the venue? Lots of natural light. Advertisement Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Hi satureyes, Take a look here sell my M 240?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
CaptZoom Posted July 29, 2013 Share #62 Posted July 29, 2013 Most of the images I'm paid to make, I consider to be crap but they're what the client wants so she gets. But I do make it a point to get a few shots for myself. Any one who can and does use RF cameras for event photography (especially weddings) has my respect. I do and I fully understand the daunting task and the absolute gratification of success. And really the only people that need to be satisfied as the bride and groom (the bride mostly). As long as they are happy how you captured the memories from one of the most memorable days of their lives, it really doesn't matter what any one else thinks. That being said, I try to keep my mind open to criticism (of the constructive variety no matter how its phrased). In any case, well done egrossman and frogfish; and thank you both for sharing. egrossman Posted July 29, 2013 Share #64 Posted July 29, 2013 Thanks Rick. The venue was the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It was dusk and many of the shots were at 3200 ISO on the Monochrom. My most used lens was the Summicron Rigid which renders beautifully on that camera. Erik Mazeltov! Some people are never happy. Lovely shots and sounds like you rescued the day.
