LVSBB6 Posted July 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone noticed after taking a sequences of shots or auto-focused a subject without firing, that the LCD/EVF holds/freezes up that view and takes a good few seconds before it reverts back live view again? Is this because of slow SD card or just the way the camera operates? Thx!
Advertisement Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Hi LVSBB6, Take a look here X vario LCD/EVF holds/freezes up when focusing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
symmetron Posted July 26, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2013 I don't have the EVF, but I noticed that when shooting a burst, the camera "freezes" once the buffer is full and until it dumps to the card. When in "C" mode, you'll notice the buffer counting down in the LCD where in the lower left corner a number appears which indicates the buffer count. SInce the buffer can handle 7 frames, as you take continuous shots, the number in the lower left hand corner of the LCD "counts down" from 6 to 0 indicating the status of the buffer. As the buffer empties, the number "counts up" again to 6.
brill64 Posted July 26, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 26, 2013 Try using a much faster mb/s. sd card. 95mb/s.
beewee Posted July 28, 2013 Share #4 Posted July 28, 2013 I notice the same thing even in single shot mode. After taking a shot, the camera is unresponsive until the image gets written to the card. On any other normal camera, half pressing the shutter following a shot will automatically clear the quick review of the image taken and allow you to take the next shot but this is not the case with the XV
