My 75mm is sitting lonely...

I'm late weighing in on this issue, but I thought I should at least offer a positive view of the 75 FL. I probably use my 75 'chron more than my 50. I find it ideal for close work -- what passes for "macro" in the non-visoflex world. That's been especially true since I sold my f/4 90mm macro (which I regret).

In general I use ithe 75 for landscape work much more than on the street because there I use 35 & 50 much more. The frame lines might bug me on the street because people would move in and out of the frame lines quickly, but I find they work fine for landscape. It's also a good portrait lens.

One other note. It is rare that I sell any Leica lens unless it is to upgrade for speed or image quality. I've too often regretted a sale.

Have 75 Cron and Lux and love them. That said use 75 somewhat sparingly, but when it's good, it's very, very good.

Question may be why you are not using 75. Wonderful for portraits and as good short telephoto. Also have 90 Elmarit and have to have one. Perhaps your mind is not considering the 75 angle.

Also have no issue focusing. Assume you have checked the body and lens to confirm they work to spec. If you don't nail the focus perhaps that's why you are shying away from the 75.

Your current range of lenses is wonderful. Hey, go out tomorrow with just the 75 to shoot a "roll of 36" and see what happens
