dave.gt Posted July 20, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yep, just when I finally put together a small Leica kit that does everything I need...namely, the Leica M3 with Nokton 1.5/50mm Summaron/90cm Elmar/handgrip/half case/custom strap, etc. AND the Leica X1 with handgrip/half case/A&A strap, etc. along comes the X Vario. Now, I can visualize the X1 and XV in the small Leica Billingham being the ultimate small digital Leica kit...easily. But, I will have to get some paying gigs to get an XV. And then again, I will not give up the M3, or film! Grrr...the small kit would go in the Handly Pro Billingham and then would not be a small kit then, would it? Well, got to work on this some more...but for now, the X1 is perfect by itself for many things like vacation travel... A couple of photos from Orange Beach, Alabama...one with the M3 and one with the X1.... Welcome, dear visitor! wda Posted July 20, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2013 Quite a challenging subject Dave. If you are pleased with your present kit, why change? If you experience the need for a quality zoom lens, the the new XV might be an excellent choice.

Guest badbob Posted July 24, 2013 Share #9 Posted July 24, 2013 I can work efficiently with 2 cameras in the kit, but 3 seems very difficult. Added to that, the very strange combination of X1, XV, and M3 all together. If you have the time and money, maybe you could order a custom design. I have a small Leica bag that has velcro dividers, but those type of dividers wouldn't be strong enough for the 3 cameras you have, even if the bag size were perfect.
