stunsworth Posted July 23, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 23, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well I'm back at New Brighton across the Mersey from Liverpool. Same lighthouse that lots of others (well 3 or 4 at least ;-) have posted. The sea shore looks so much more interesting at low tide - jellyfish slowly drying in the summer sun not withstanding. Canon 5D, 28mm Elmarit.
Advertisement Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here It's that lighthouse again!!! . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted July 24, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi Steve, Nice postcard stuff but I am puzzled. The lighthouse seems verical enough but the horizon appears tilted, down @ left or up @ right. Any explanation, or is my monitor tilted. Cheers, Erl
stunsworth Posted July 24, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 24, 2006 No Erl, there is a lean to the horizon that I missed :-(. I did correct a tilt in the original, but used the lighthouse to straigten it. Perhaps It's the lighthouse that leans a bit ;-)
fotografr Posted July 24, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi Steve, You have a nice photo here but I thought I should point out something you may or may not have noticed. You have some dirt on your 5D sensor. The safest and most effective way I've found to clean them is with the ridiculously overpriced Sensor Brush available from http://www.visibledust.com. stunsworth Posted July 24, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi Brent, yes I noticed after I'd uploaded the picture and it was too late to change it. I've had success in the past with a blower - hold the camera upside down and blow air (though a rubber bulb _not_ an aesosol!).
