nabuang Posted July 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone just joined this group. i am from FL and i am new owner of Leica M6 TTL just beginning to explore this great machine with precise mechanics i am thrilled! If any out there would be able to give an advice would really appreciate. I am planning to get a biogon 35mm ZM to hook up with my M6 TTL with a .085 magnification. Will i have trouble with frame lines in my viewfinder? do i have to get an external view finder for a 35mm focal length to go with my M6 TTL 0.85? Has anybody here had an experience with the biogon 35mm ZM on thier leica M film cameras? Thanks y'all Cheers! keep clicking! -nabuang

Michael Hiles Posted July 14, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2013 You shouldn't have problems with the 35mm lens when using the viewfinder - but if you where glasses you might need to move the camera a little if you don't see the whole 35mm frame. This is due to the .85 viewfinder magnification. Personally, I don't see a need for an external viewfinder - but you might disagree. Give it a try by using the frame selector lever and see what you think. It is a personal choice. I have no experience with Zeiss lenses, but their reputation is very high. And there is very little to choose between high end lenses - it almost certainly doesn't matter.
nabuang Posted July 14, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks Michael! Really appreciate your helpful insight as a newbie in RF I just wanted to use the M6 stock ability to use the available lenses for it and not to add more gears in terms of wide angle lens and getting external view finder. I would like to get familiar first and explore what the M6 available and stock mechanism. Maybe when I'm familiar with some of the focal lengths and how the RF process I would love to get more deeper. But thank you so much for that helpful insight! Just wanted to make sure I'm not buying a lens that will require any extra gear outside from what I have right now with my M6 0.85 magnification. cheers!
