paulsydaus Posted July 14, 2013 Share #1  Posted July 14, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I happened upon this street theatre by accident and stayed for a good hour or so. I couldn't understand anything, but had a great time. This is my first attempt at black and white, so be kind. The bulk scans came back with horrendous quality (M Monochrome they surely aren't), so I have requested a re-scan. Nonetheless, this is what I got from the cheap bulk scanner. Enjoy. pauledell Posted July 14, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted July 14, 2013 Your series is quite interesting despite the poor image quality. The action and your composition makes up for that. Â Paul
Karl G Posted July 14, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted July 14, 2013 Very interesting street theatre, hopefully you will find scans that do your effort justice. I like 4 and 7 the best.
paulsydaus Posted July 15, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted July 15, 2013 Thanks for the encouragement guys. Well I got a few 16 bit Flextights done and they aren't much better so I suppose it's an exposure/processing issue. I'm new to B/W so any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm use to the relatively large exposure latitude in Fujichrome Provia 400. These are Illford HP5 Plus (ISO400). I might have shot slightly under-exposed and didn't push so is graininess and lack of detail just from under-exposure? Processing was XTOL 1:1 for 12 minutes as per Ilford specification. Cheers, Paul
