I've been using a couple of the LTM version for a few years, and the main weakness I see is the CA purple fringe on extreme highlights, as another post pointed out compared to the Lux Asph. However, even that is a minor issue, as is the "onion-ring bokeh" on very OOF light points.

I have tested for focus shift carefully, and I find shift a bit less than my 62 and 69 Summicrons, and about the same as my 2012 Summicron. (Much less than my V1 Summilux!) So, yes - as most lenses it has a bit of shift, but not enough for me to notice in normal use. Both of mine also came with near-perfect focus adjustment on my M9.

In the few days that I have been shooting this lens I have enjoyed it. I haven't done any specific tests for focus shift, center sharpness, etc...I've just been shooting. I also have the 50 Summilux ASPH in the bag with me this week, and the results IMHO are more similar than different. The Nokton is definitely more contrasty, but other than that I haven't noticed a significant difference. I hate the small aperture markings on the barrel, but that's an ergonomics problem and not really a lens issue.
