Advertisement Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Hi marcelgladbach, Take a look here Leica M7 Valid Serial number?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M9reno Posted July 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2013 M7 is still in production. So I don't see why that number might be too high.
lincoln_m Posted July 4, 2013 Share #3 Posted July 4, 2013 According to Leica Pocket Book 8th Edition numbers in the range 3632001-3782000 are for D-Lux 4 2008 But there is a disclaimer that says it has been known for different models to take serial numbers from a batch of a different model. i.e an M7 taking a D-Lux 4 batch no. they probably represent a special order. I guess that might be an a la carte one? Regards, Lincoln
250swb Posted July 4, 2013 Share #4 Posted July 4, 2013 The reason Leica are not transparent in their serial numbers is a mystery, unless they are using the numbers to control your knowledge of your camera I can't really see why they do it.
