gogopix Posted April 6, 2007 Share #1  Posted April 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received a nice 200mm telyt. Good glass and clean BUT the aperture has not detents. It works smoothly, and seems quite accurate, but it is a continuous aperture  This sounds problematic since it can accidentally shift in taking the image.  is this a broken aperture?  thx
Advertisement Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Hi gogopix, Take a look here Telyt 200mm f4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted April 6, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 6, 2007 Viktor, that is normal. The detents are in the ring with the white dot, hidden under the lens hood when collapsed. You are supposed to move the stop ring and the aperture ring together to the right aperture, turn the aperture ring back to wide open to focus, close it against the stop ring and press the shutter.
