Petychka Posted June 26, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted June 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) My question may sound too simple to many here but it is about an area about which I know very little. I've searched through the web and my flashes' user manuals for the answer to this but I haven't been successful. Â My issue is this: I wish to photograph items in a light box (yes, I know this isn't artistic but sometimes we use our cameras for mundane tasks). Â My equipment is an M9, a number of Summicrons (28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 90mm) and two flashguns (SF-28 and SF-24D). I also have an Olympus FL-50R flash unit. Â I am considering illuminating the light box with these flashguns. I believe I can do that by using them in slave mode. Is this a good idea? Is there a better way? If so, is a better way an affordable way? Â If slave flash were a reasonable way to go, I have no idea at all how to do this. Could someone tell me how to go about it? I'm talking about real basics here: what do I have to do to the flash units to set them up? What settings should I use on the camera (for example, I've read that Manual mode is preferred to Flash to prevent any pre-flash from triggering the slaves prematurely). Â Is there anything else? Â Thank you for reading this far.
