I have been seduced by photographs and the technology that makes them since my second decade of life. Over the forty years since I held my first Kodak Starflash, I have worked my way through an evolutionary tree of cameras. Always, though, I wanted to own a Leica. Life is too short and nothing is sadder than getting what you want when one has worked one's way to the front of life's queue. So, last year I bought an M9 and a cluster of lenses. My photographic projects have generally been in the form of essays, mainly of life's major events and travel. The first major essay with the M9 was a trek to Everest Base Camp this year. Wonderful culture and people, dramatic scenery, a great story and a competent camera - I think the photographer managed to honour them. I have gained much as a reader of this forum. As I am sure that you have already found out this is a great place to interact with like minded people, on a passion that we all share,Photography,and of course the world of Leica. You will find some very talented people on the forum, some very knowledgeable people, and a chance to make friends and meet members on the various meetings that are organised throught the world!
