jaapv Posted June 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2013 Yes - it is a relatively common problem on all digital cameras, a stuck/dead pixel line. Send your camera to Leica for sensor remapping. And - welcome to the forum.
M9reno Posted June 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 25, 2013 I know this problem crops up frequently, but I don't remember an answer to a likely follow-up: what if the issue strikes somewhere without easy access to a backup camera or to Leica CS? Can one continue to shoot and afterwards easily fix in LR, while one gets around to sending the camera for remapping? I for one do not have enough experience in LR to know the answer to this. Thanks. jaapv Posted June 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 25, 2013 It is quite simple in Photoshop CS to create a droplet to handle this problem. I am not an LR expert by any standard, but I think the spot removal tool with content aware technology in the latest version should work for this. tobey bilek Posted July 1, 2013 Share #5 Posted July 1, 2013 Try going to 50% view. Then use the healing or clone tool to go down the line. Holding down the shift key keeps the line straight probably. PS and LR are so similar. At 100 % the one pixel line becomes two, so that is too far. Off mags like 33 and 66 are best avoided. caux Posted July 2, 2013 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2013 Or just use PixelFixer.
