elgenper Posted June 23, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2013 Does anyone have experience with the iPad2 Camera Connection Kit with 64G SD card (D-Lux 6)?Thanks Definitely not worth it in my experience. First, it is extremely slow. Second, if you shoot raw (you should), you need software that can handle these, making it even slower... Third, since the biggest iPad is 64 G, which has to hold a lot of other things besides the images, you cannot get the contents of a full 64 G card into it anyway. Got it with the pad, tried it a few times; now it is asleep in the bottom drawer...
iforum Posted June 23, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2013 ipads are brilliant photographic tools fantastic apps just don't expect it to replace a computer yet. if you shoot raw (you should), Few people print large these days and most images are stored and never viewed again so jpegs are more than adequate. Shoot experiment with apps and enjoy
ho_co Posted June 23, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2013 Like Per, I bought the camera connection kit with the iPad. I found it slow and erratic. I find it more convenient to use iTunes on the computer to transfer files to the iPad. Maybe I just need experience with the camera connection kit, but at the moment I don't use it. Not recommended.
