How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

This is from the side of the house facing her garden, where she grew her veggies and fruits. Nearest grocery store was in Santa Fe, some 42 miles away, which would have been quite a trip in a Model A Ford . . .

 

The house was originally a hacienda, most of the adobe walls being very weathered away. Georgia had them reinforced with concrete sometime after she restored the house, so they still look rather nice today.

Photography is strictly limited to outdoor shooting. Interior shots are forbidden because the curators don't want anyone bumping into things, as the house is much as Georgia O'Keeffe left it when she passed away in 1986. Even outside photographs looking into the house are forbidden, though taking pictures of this tree are okay . . .

The Windows of My Life 

 

 

Each window has a story to tell,

Of times goneby,

Of gifts unused,

Of those I ignored, or left behind.

 

How many windows are there in my life,

Still untended in this vast mansion,

God has given me,

Just sitting there, waiting patiently.

 

For a coat of paint, some fresh air,
