How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

I was luck enough to catch this scene from the 14th floor of our hotel room in Orlando this weekend. This small size does not do it justice; the X Vario caught so much subtlety and detail it is truly impressive and I really look forward to printing this large! I bracketed the scene at 2/3 stops and used HDR merge in Lightroom which seemed to work out pretty good.

This is Tashi Drema in the prayer room of her home in Singbir village of Arunachal Pradesh. She's just retrieved a glass from the cupboard behind her so she can offer a drink of chang made from fermented rice, only this was made from fermented millet grown in her fields. 

 

 

This is Tashi's son tilling their patch of land. She has five daughters and two sons, if I remember correctly.
