adelie Posted June 15, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 15, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently acquired the very rare Panasonic DMW-LW69 69mm adapter for my Leica Digilux 2. It is an amazing piece of glass. It is also incredibly heavy and I do not want to mount the D2 and this adapter on a tripod due to the "front heavy weight". Can anyone suggest a lens cradle or some other technique to support this combo. The adapter does not have a tripod socket. Most lens cradles (Kirk RRS) use a tripod socket and are designed for "long telephoto lenses" - not heavy ultra-wides.

dkCambridgeshire Posted June 16, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2013 You could investigate the NOVOFLEX GAKO FORKED KENS SUPPORT ... when I can find mine I'll see if it fits my D2 ... I've never tried it but expect it will fit OK. Novoflex - Special supports dunk
mikeleng Posted June 16, 2013 Share #3 Posted June 16, 2013 Hi John Congratulations on your purchase, I’ve never used one and I have never seen one . For the time being you could mount your camera on a tripod and then attach the adaptor on to it, then cradle the front with your hand . Regards Mike
