I am excited!! I just got my first Leica and so far I am enjoying it! I also got an attachment to add a filter and a lense hood to protect the lens.

I am a portrait/landscape photographer so the slower autofocus "probably" wont matter much!

Did have some questions about it!

1. Can I use my nikon sb600 or sb800 flashes with this camera?

2. Does this camera have a bulb mode?

3. Can you do multiple exposures?

And finally

4. Any other tips and tricks to using this would be amazing!

Thanks a lot for all of your help!

I am excited to get into Leica!:)

Welcome to the forum. I cannot answer exactly your flash question, but probably you can set the camera flash to studio (in the flash parameter) and use your flash as slaves. Impossible to make multiple exposure. Tips? Use so much as you can and you'll enjoy the camera!

PS: and please post some pics!

Ok when I shoot with the nikon flashes it works but not TTL, it only works manually!

One more question! Should I use the black and white options in the menus? Or just take it in color and use Lightroom/photoshop for changing it to black and white??

I have done both. I feel the B&W Jpegs are superior out of camera!

Setting the film preset to B+W gives you a B+W jpeg. This is beneficial in that the LCD (or the EVF with the X2) will show a B+W image. That lets you pre-visualize the scene in B+W. But if you also set the file type to 'DNG + jpeg super fine' then you have a choice later on of either color or B+W (the B+W can be the in-camera jpeg or a processed DNG to B+W.)

I personally prefer to have the DNG choice so that I can either have the image in color or process it into B+W via Photoshop (or ACR, LR, C1, etc..) DNGs give me the file I really want and can turn into B+W via PS (and grayscale printing with QTR, etc..) The jpeg doesn't give me nearly as much latitude. But I will often set the film preset to B+W jpeg to help me pre-visualize the scene as B+W (and of course I'll get a B+W jpeg along with the DNG.)
